Anne is a lifelong storyteller, from her earliest crayon-and-notebook-paper books and plays (performed for her parents’ unwitting dinner guests), to a career in advertising, to picture books today.

Having grown up mesmerized by Shel Silverstein and larger-than-life characters like Eloise and Pippi Longstocking, Anne’s early love affair with stories led her to earn a BA in English Literature from Vanderbilt University and then into the advertising industry. Leaning on her childhood lemonade stand experience, Anne spent nearly a decade developing advertising campaigns for multiple brands at The Coca-Cola Company, but ultimately decided writing for children is way more fun.

A true creative at heart, Anne also paints abstract art and pursues other forms of expression, like making absurd talking-dog videos with her children. Consequently, her dogs now have more Instagram followers than she does.

Anne is an active member of SCBWI, 12×12, and Inked Voices. She’s won over a dozen KidLit writing contests, most recently the KidLit Chuckle Challenge. Anne also enjoys volunteering at children’s libraries and local children’s literacy programs. She is represented by Kaitlyn Sanchez of Bradford Literary.

Anne lives in Atlanta with her husband, two teenage sons, and two very entitled dogs named Cheddar and Goose.
